U12 Boys Champions - Warrior Soccer Classic

The U12 Boys overcame the heat and multiple injuries to win the Warrior Soccer Classic over the weekend. The boys went 2-0-1 in group play and advanced to the semi-finals while only playing with 7 players through most of the second half. In the semi, it took a last minute goal to force overtime and another last minute goal to avoid penalty kicks. Its was a great weekend for the boys!!
Congratulations to the Boys U10 White team for advancing the to semi-finals of the Warrior Classic. It was an exciting game with lots of goals. The boys pushed hard in the second half but just ran out of time.
The U8 Girls also made it to the finals of the Warrior this past weekend. The ran into a great team in the finals and fell a little short. Way to go girls!!
Not to be left out, the U9 Boys Black advanced to the semi-finals but fell short in a hard fought game. Great job boys!!
Congratulations to all NWC Alliance Teams for a great Spring Season.

Training – What Makes Soccer Clubs Different |
The Northern Warren County Alliance Soccer Club has the belief that a year round training environment is essential for a players’ long term development. Therefore, we have established a Periodization Program that will ensure the long term success of all players in the Northern Warren County Alliance soccer organization.
Periodization is a program that is broken into six cycles depending on the time of year. This program has an indelible mark on the overall yearly development of all players competing in our program. Read more about NWC's approach to youth soccer training... |

NWC Dutch Soccer Tournament |
|
Who: Open to 7 & 8 year old Boys/Girls
When: The fall Dutch Tournament dates will be out soon. Please check back for details.
|
|
What: Weekly 4v4 competition where the players learn responsibility, leadership and organizational skills. Each player is playing for themselves but gets credit for how well their team performs. The teams change every game so you will be playing with and against different players every game. There are five games each session and the games last between 12-15 minutes. Parents are encouraged to attend and cheer their youngster on from the sidelines. There is no coaching! The players control their own teams and the rules.
Why: NWC Alliance feels a need to build a bridge between our community recreational programs and select soccer and this will give young players a chance to see if they are interested in training and playing in a more competitive environment. |
 |
|
Cost: Registration is $40 and players must be pre-registered by April 9th in order to participate. There is no walk registration up for this event. The cut-off is 60 players so register early!

Chris Rolfe On The Importance of High Quality Club Level Soccer Training |
|
"Over the last 20 years, I've had the opportunity to be coached by a number of people ranging from my own father to Bob Bradley and the U.S. National Team. While everyone along my career has been beneficial to me, possibly the most influential was Brian Kohen. BK was someone that I looked up to from an early age when he would train my club team. He'd only be there once or twice a week, max, for maybe one and a half hours, but what he taught stuck with me all week long until he trained us again. I believe that success starts at an early age in a number of ways, and having BK teach me tactics and technique in my first few years of soccer has taken me to where I am today by forming a strong foundation to build on."
- Chris Rolfe, Chicago Fire (MLS) and US National Team
