Why Play Soccer?
Soccer is the world's most popular competition sport. It is the largest participation sport for women of all ages in the US, and the 2nd largest for men. Soccer offers players the ability to develop a unique combination of skill, athleticism, endurance and problem solving ability that will benefit them throughout life.

Why Play for NWC Alliance?
NWC Alliance is a different model than any other club in the area. We are not the largest club in the area and we
have no desire to be recognized as such. NWC Alliance focus is on systematic player development. By offering
the best possible training and conducting this training in small groups with children of similar skill sets we can
optimize your child’s soccer experience and learning curve.
NWC Alliance is a fully integrated, developmental youth soccer club that provides education and competition
opportunities for players U7-U14. The club, which operates as a 501 (C-3) not for profit, maintains professional
USSF licensed training staff with over 35 years of coaching experience involving youth, collegiate and professional
players. A board of trustees highly experienced in youth soccer, oversees club operations.

What Can Players Expect to Gain from NWC Alliance Participation?
Players can expect to learn the game of soccer in an environment that emphasizes personal commitment, academic
achievement and a high standard of sportsmanship. As NWC Alliance players advance in age and ability, they
can expect opportunities for elite competition, and experienced guidance in support of their interscholastic or
intercollegiate careers.

Is there a Balance between Training and Competition?
Yes, and it varies by player age.
• U7-U11: The emphasis is one of “Learning to Play,” which involves skill development, elementary tactical
concepts and small-sided competitions.
• U12-U14: The emphasis is on “Learning the Game,” and involves advanced technical and full field tactical
concepts, as well as basic athletic development.
• U15-U18: The emphasis becomes “Learning to Compete,” and involves advanced athletic development, results
oriented competition and exposure to the requirements of inter collegiate play.

Where do NWC Teams Compete?
NWC Alliance teams compete in a variety of leagues and tournament competitions, including the Miami Valley League, Cincinnati United Soccer League (CUSL), US Club Soccer, Buckeye Premier League (BPL), and in some cases, the Midwest Regional League (MRL) as well as local and regional competitions.
